    Growing Pains
    Momma tell me, is it true,

    Does the world make you blue?

    Little boys, aint little boys,

    And little girls leave their toys.

    Daddy, daddy is it true,

    Is the world cold and cruel?

    Are we leaving you someday,

    To no longer run and play?

    If thats what getting old will bring,

    Then, in my heart, is growing pain...

    Ty sal, I wrote this years ago, my daughter was 4 then, I like it because its an uncommon subject.

    A curious coming of age ode to a growing child. Said directly and lyricly. Could be a song Rememeber Fleetwood Mac had that song "Oh Daddy"? That's what I am thinking of. So you're in good company. ginga

    This poem rocks ^_^ Simple, direct, wonderfully catchy and with nice word choice...also, I can see a blues-inspired feel.
