Hate His Bride
10-5-08
There’s this man I love, but I hate his bride
Sometimes it’s too hard to keep my feelings inside
She ain’t hurt me, but she’s hurt too many people I love
Her groom’s alive but still he watches her from above
She’s so crooked, she lies, she’s so full of it
Nine people out of ten think that she’s a hypocrite
And most of the time I agree because I see
How backwards she is, but still I let her use me
Because she can’t abuse me, I’m far to strong
But her behavior has persisted for far too long
I’ve spoken to her and I’ll defend her to the death
But people slander her, I’m tryin’ to not regret
I still love her, but not how I love her groom
I hope how I feel will not lead my soul to doom
There’s no room left in my heart to put up with this mess
She's flat-chested with an augmented wedding dress
She was at the door, saw her walking up the steps
Walked to the alter, knew how much she was blessed
But still she takes him for granted, is this how he planned it?
The truth is too far off, I want it back, I demand it!
Her heart beats for her man, and works only for him
But most of the rest of her is involved in sin
She murders and lies but then she acts like she didn’t
She's in the club smokin’ weed, wastes no time when she’s finished
She runs right back to him, and he already knows
That she’s cheatin’ on him, you can smell the cologne on her clothes
But though he’s bold as a lion, he’s as meek as a lamb
Won’t divorce his bride, instead he holds her hand
And I’m tryin’ not to hate because deep down she’s so great
But she takes his love for granted and calls herself a saint
But she acts a fool, thinks she’s above the rules
It hurts my soul when they talk about her at school
‘Cause I hate her but I love her all at the same time
See her every Sunday at 11 and most Wednesday’s ‘till 9
I’m trying hard to forgive her and I want others to see too
Girl you look real ugly but there are two sides to you
I want everybody to see your true beauty
But still I realize forgiveness has to start with me…
There’s this man I love, but I hate his bride
Sometimes it’s too hard to keep my feelings inside
She ain’t hurt me, but she’s hurt too many people I love
