    Hello Darkness

    Hello Darkness

You’ve been my enemy for to many years

You have taken away so many peers

You kept me in the dark for far to long

I never knew what happiness was

    Till my wife came along

So in the darkness I saw a light

    And in this light

    I saw a new life

In this new like a have accomplished so much

I am one of the few

    Who has escaped you

So I hold my head up high

And see how you look from the outside

    And think about why

When you’re born in the darkness

    It’s hard to escape

Except for those who are lucky enough to get away

There’s only one thing left to say

    Goodbye darkness

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
