    Her Cry

The scorn I feel when she looks upon me,
is like the last wish of a dying man.
She hopes to make this thing she calls love last,
    unfortunately it never will.

The feeling of dying alone will go on with her forever.
she has been left for another younger soul.
Thinking of this she cries out to her empty mind,
though nothing hears her she cries.

She stalks the one whom hurt her so many years ago,
in pursuit of a meaningless realationship she wanders.
Her one dream to be with him was torn when he left,
her heart in tatters from the only person she loves.

From going to the store to the mall with her friends,
she will never be the same again till he comes for her.
The one time she ever had her hope has been lost,
    lost to her youth.

She goes on and on for the last time she goes,
from the night she walks to show the world.
Unbeknownst to her the world cares not,
for her troubles lie within her mind.

These things have created a ravaged mind and body,
of which will never heal, never close, or never fade.
She cries out for him to hold her for the last time,
she falls to the ground, cries his name and breathes the last breath...

Death wish for sure, but more hers than his?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
