    Her Love Experience

Never Knowing what love really was or really meant.....I still went on with my life.
My brother was my life my mother was my gift and not knowing what love really was....I still went on with my life.
One Christmas Eve mom fell to her knees because all we had for Christmas was a tree.
Mom showed me her love when she cried by the tub...I asked mom what was up she said "me".
"I have no presents for you and your brother this year, I work so hard..." was all I could hear.
I knew that was a form of love...I felt it when I gave her a hug.
Another one time as clear as today. My heart was captured as I lay....
Down on a table I tell you no tale it was right from the pit of my navel.
He wasn't here yet and 6months to go I heard him for the very first time.
No Idea what to expect but what happened next most definitely blew my mind.
February 14, 1996 one of the best days of my life. I will never forget the doctor said "just listen one good time"
The room became quiet I heard mine first, but it was quiet and faint.
Then all of a sudden a loud boom came out of the machines that looked like tanks.
Then a rhythm so sweet and just as I squeaked tears flowed of joy never felt.
"A heartbeat" was said I thought this has got to be the love mom felt as she knelt.
I had no idea what was really going on that eve that moment by the tub.
Never imagined my son would be right there with concern and a hug full of love.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
