    Humming the Song

Humming the song as I walk home,
    How beautiful... is loving you
The melody goes through my body,
    Contaminating every inch of it,
    Poisoning my mind with it
    Its beauty is captivating
You know this song love, don’t you?
    You wrote the notes!
The music amuse me – it’s YOU
The euphony of your heart in a roundabout

Humming the song as I get home,
It seems to be stuck in my head for a while now...
Indescribable how I’m loving the flow
    Tone by tone
Every allegro, adante, every turn and every go
I tried to sing it but soon realized
    This song has no words
Let’s be quiet and still, just listen

    I like this...

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
