    Poem Commentary

    March 6th 2009

    I cannot let you go.

    An empty road; straight
No cars pass by because it is unknown
As I walk, I walk straight down the center
Waiting for one glimpse of humanity to come racing by at full speed.
As I walk straight down the center.

    When I walk I don't think
    Well, maybe
    A little
    But only about you.

About how you took the straight path
While I still find my way through the winding road
To see you at the end
    But I can't do it
    I can't find my way through; I don't think I can
    Not without you.

I don't know why; It makes things worse
    But I just need your presence;
Your just my key to make it to the end.

I don't care about the consequences anymore

I feel like holding your hand, just being with you Forever

Being close to you is like holding happiness in my own hands.
You are the beat of my heart.

    You make me happy.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
