    Poem Commentary

    February 2009

    Sister

    Coming home to open up your soul;
    Never saying the nervous thoughts
    I can help you except when you reject me.
    Always finding a way to keep it to yourself
    But I can understand you sister.
    I'm here to tell you, I love you.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
