    I Try

I try so hard to please my mother,
but at some point I know I must stop.
So I try to take care of my sister & brother
On achieving my goals to reaching the top.
Knowing my mother has no trust in me
and thinking I'm going to fail.
I must be all that I can be
and show her I will prevail.
    Success is at hand,
but she thinks I'm having sex.
    Just because I don't have a man
    doesn't mean I can't achieve success.
    Everything is such a blur
and in my eyes I just want to be me.
    I'm confused and unsure,
but finishing school and graduating will set me free.
Out of all this at least I try!!!
