    Im sorry
    I'm sorry for being me
    I'm sorry that i cut myself
    i just want to be free

    I'm sorry that i have depression
    I'm sorry that i hate
    its an obsession

    I'm sorry for not being there
    I'm sorry that i cry
    my life is consumed by fear

    I'm sorry that i attempted suicide
    I'm sorry I'm worthless
    time just isn't by my side

    But what i really am sorry for
    is the scars that still remain
    I'm sorry that i cut myself
    to take away the pain

    You cut yourelf most likely to feel! Not to take away the pain, usually to feel something real. You are a textbook case of depression secondary to sexual abuse and neglect. I am sorry to say that i know from experience, it doesn't go away. I went to school to be a nurse, and i cope better now. You gotta talk it out, alot! I mean it. Not family usually either, a counselor, or a preacher, or a older women who has been through it. Your writing is therapeutic, and I can really relate, you are right it is for you, not for us.     The poor and the wealthy, the sick and the healthy, all experience depression in one form or another. The key is to not allow the evil in life to hold you down, but the beauty of life hold you up.
