Inevitably Frozen
Bereft of themMy soul is lost
Did it die with them?
Or find another habitation?
Or perhaps is locked deep inside the ice that resides inside me
I am so cold, uncaring, lost
Hypotermia will kill me from the inside out
So come to me, hold me
Bury me in your arms
For I see more than a spark of my soul in your eyes
The same spark as was taken from me
Remind me of a hint of warmth, a hint of life
Something I alone will never feel again
Heat me, melt me, if only a little
Delay the inevitable for as long as possible.
