Untitled Sonnet

All love is unrequited this I think
As I peer into your clear gaze of ice
As cold as death, so cold they do not blink;
Cupid's prick on you could still could ne'er entice
a single flame to melt your heart to me,
I search in vain for what is never there
'cause it's not me you love, but she, but she!
But she is the great cause of my despair
gaze upon her and all others despise,
And still you force me to accept the truth
this body dies, lies as cold as your eyes
but my love for you shall remain aloof.
Let me lie at your side whle I yet live,
pretending that, to me your love you'll give.
