    Inside

    I woke up this morning,
    With You on my mind.
    I searched everywhere,
But You I could not find.
    I searched far and wide,
    I searched high and low.
Still I could not find You,
    Though I cared so.
Finally I dropped down on my knees
To search the one place I hadn't looked.
In Your eyes I saw forgiveness,
And in that moment I was hooked.
Why it took me so long to see,
I'll never know so long as I live.
But in my heart I know,
    How You love to give.
    After searching high and low,
    Far and wide,
I finally discovered where you are.
    Inside.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
