    It has been five days

    I have something to say
    I just don't know what
So much to learn, so much to learn
    Or is it?
    I question
    These facts
    These
    Scientific, facts
The world is a strange and mangled place
    Or is it?
I kick the air you walk upon
    So high up
    Never so humble
    Clouds will intoxicate
    Or is it?
    Get on your knees
    Dear child
    Feel the rocks
    Stab into the skin
    Beatiful blood
    Come trailing out
    Or is it?
    Be it ever so
    Confusing
    This wonderland
    Set before us
    But it has
    Kept us in line
    Beheld our wonders
    Known our ways
    Felt our pleasures
    Saw the way out
    Or is it?
    It's my job
    To inform you
    Of the tragic event
    The accident
    She's in the infirmary
    Critical
    Breathtaking
    Or is it?
    Short
    Sweet
    Simple lines of magic
    They flow from your
    Luxurious mind
    Nasty place of magnificence
    It will be mine
    Oh yes
    Or is it?
    Can't explain
    Only done
    Simple acts
    Only of fun
    You can't except that
    I know it be true
    Change is good
    Its good
    Its good
    Or is it?
    Just except it
You'll never get away from me
    You'll always know me
    Mind, body
    Soul and spirit
    Tonight the sun goes down
And you'll embrace the thought of me
    The only thought of me
    People change
    But you stay the same
    Glistening angel
    Alone in the moonlight
    I don't know
    How to tell you
    Again, I show you
    All I know
    It's my peace
    My comfort
    It is you
    So soft
    And so beautiful
    Break this body
    I dare you
    You'll never do it
    You love me
    You can't deny it
But I do have a confession
    Something ever so little
    But something you must know
    Or
    You have already known
It is what you have called me
    And, as they say
    I am eccentric

A rewarding stream of consciousness piece. Eccentric, yes, but I've already learned to accept it, except unless you'd rather I not. Harv

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
