I've Got No Reply for You
Another cider kiss, and sweet talk to softenMy knight on the tiles that will happen too often
So red on the neck,
I know better and yet -
I know this will happen again.
Too late now for choices,
Too late now for reason;
The fruit of your path is too far in season.
And what can I do but live in my cage?
Choose to sit here with the life I have made
You give me some life, and a new lease of hope
That a normal existence is not out of scope.
And although this is everything in the here and the now,
You’ll get thrown aside like the rest.
