    Januarys moon

Once my heart was lost on a distant planet
    that whirls around januarys moon
where the winds howl and buzzards sing
a prison of my soul this had made
to be paid these dues, my crux to bear

Yet although a thousand suns were shining
where then is there my sight
yet quick in a spur of moment
it came to me in marvelous flight

"I've a wager for you" good soul spoke
Evil laughed, not amused at the joke
"feast with me evil one and eat what i eat,
and you must equal me, and if at the end,
I am left standing, this poor soul will be free".

Evil then in deep thought seeing his catch
these souls adrift in an empty abyss
all of these days locked in hearts cage only to die,
"Yes I shall dine and feast with thee,
but lose this wager, you will spend the rest of forever entwined with me".
