    You ask, who am I?

I am a figment of your imagination
who comes to you in your deepest hour of sleep
for only then can you let your guardians rest
so that you may invite me into your dreams.

I am only a presence in your mind
yet, still you imagine a slight breath upon your face
as chills run through your being
as your body trembles in anticipation.

I am the one who unwraps the gifts and removes the ribbons
    and atlast when you awaken
you will know your shadow has danced
then and only then, will you realize, but it will not be by chance.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
