    Just Getting By

    Just getting by,
    Is getting old.
    Just give me your heart,
    And I'll free your soul.

    I need so much
    To be believed,
For all the love I have
    To be graciously received.

    I'll love you everyday,
The only way I know how,
    There should be no doubt,
    You should know by now.

    You are so special,
    Better than all the rest.
Soon you'll realize I love you,
    You won't need any test.

    I've got to keep believing,
    I promise to be true.
    This can last forever.
    If you will believe too.

    What is love?
    I think you asked.
    Love is unconditional,
It is giving, not a task.

    Love doesn't just evaporate,
    Or vanish into thin air,
Maybe neglected, or ignored at times,
    But is always there.

    Sometimes love is forgotten,
    Though it is forgiving.
    To me, love is
Is the best part of life

    Believe it!
That's all you need to do.
    I believe it!
    And I believe in you.

    You'll just know,
You won't have to ask why.
    Let me free your soul,
    No more "just getting by."

"the best part of living", "You believe in me, and i'll believe in you". Loved the rhythm, work on the rhyme, your message is great all of the time. Write on....

    thanks, noted..

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
