Lies

Lies

You have told me so many things,
And some of them turned out to be true,
But most of them were just a lie,
And the biggest lie turned out to be you.

I can't believe you played these childish games,
I can't believe you were so fake,
What you had me believe was far from the truth,
This feeling of betrayal I cannot shake.

Because you betrayed me in more ways than one,
You had me believe that you actually cared,
I truly thought you understood and loved me,
But it was all a ruse, the loved that we shared.

I gave you my everything, I gave you my all,
And you took it no questions asked,
All I really wanted was your love and your time,
But for some odd reason you couldn't perform the task.

Now I'm sitting here wondering what I did wrong,
What did I do for you to break my heart,
Was it because you found someone new, or I wasn't enough,
If that is the case then you should have told me from the start.

Yes this is what every women feels ultimately about the guy because it is the truth, because when one wants love, they get it at any cost and they dont bother about the feelings of the other sex.Because in humans when he is content man forgets what he is and what he did. this is the truth. I agree. keep it up friend.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
