Lighthouse
Lighthouse
01-16-09
I see you there beyond the willow tree,
The chilled breeze whisping around you.
I’m looking past you but cannot see,
The fog is thick with morning dew.
We’re standing here in the middle of it all,
You and I in this emptiness.
Our veins hardening from the presence of fall,
Hearts weighing heavy with their solidness.
The clouds gather in rage from being ignored,
They will join forces with the ocean beside.
The giant swirling and breaking against a diligent shore,
The rocks remain still with nowhere to hide.
A powerful event is about to begin,
A vigilant vortex swallowing all in its path.
Wrenching it is to see your end,
As your heart turns, it will be the last.
