Lips of Death
I call to every corner of the earth
I know they are all so ignorant
Dozing off beside the hearth
I feel I am intolerant
So many times I hear them say
That love can conquer all
I'm not quite myself today
I feel as though I fall
My tongue can twist and cause them dread
I speak and they are gone
I blink and see their sins unshed
A tale of which to shun
All the while they pass my way
As a quiver of my hand
They cannot see and fall astray
Soul and body disband
You cry to every ear alive
And warn them of my trial
'Tis my decision if they survive
In all of their denial
So many times you seem to try
And warm the hearts of old
'Tis only a matter of precious time
Until their blood runs cold
Your words can't do you any good
They taunted as you spoke
Laughter rang as you doubt it should
'Tis me they shall invoke
A mockery of which condones the wrong
Justice I shall caress
They won't be laughing very long
When they kiss my Lips of Death
I know they are all so ignorant
Dozing off beside the hearth
I feel I am intolerant
So many times I hear them say
That love can conquer all
I'm not quite myself today
I feel as though I fall
My tongue can twist and cause them dread
I speak and they are gone
I blink and see their sins unshed
A tale of which to shun
All the while they pass my way
As a quiver of my hand
They cannot see and fall astray
Soul and body disband
You cry to every ear alive
And warn them of my trial
'Tis my decision if they survive
In all of their denial
So many times you seem to try
And warm the hearts of old
'Tis only a matter of precious time
Until their blood runs cold
Your words can't do you any good
They taunted as you spoke
Laughter rang as you doubt it should
'Tis me they shall invoke
A mockery of which condones the wrong
Justice I shall caress
They won't be laughing very long
When they kiss my Lips of Death
