    Lurching Lullaby

I give life to my child
    And my child is death
    Such a simple desire
    To determine who's left

    A quiet containment
    With such a delay
    My child's contentment
    As they're all swept away

Cries of pain are her song
    Breaking bones are music
    New torture with age
And a fear to lose it

    Good night to my child
    I'll handle the rest
    I'd do anything for her
    My child of death
