She would lay with different men day after day,
Just to have a place to stay.
Her innocence had been long gone,

As strange men would pick her up and drop her off,
She’d think “another 25 toward the cause.
In & out of cars she would hop,
Until one day she was picked up by a cop.
She was given her first citation for prostitution and solicitation.
The officer who brought her in sternly warned “this lifestyle will surely be your end. “You can stop now, you’re still so young” but this young girl wouldn't listen to anyone.
As she was fingerprinted and photographed she thought to herself and chuckled then laughed “ all this just cuz I sold some ass”.
Night after night, she’d turn trick after trick.
A few years went by and she began to feel sick.
She went to the doctor & took a test, crossed her fingers and hoped for the best.
As she heard the results she started to cry,
The girl had just found out she was going to die.
Prostitution, without a doubt, was about to take her out.
When that young girl was only 23 she lost her life to HIV, Now she’s just a memory...
