LOCUST IN MY SOUL

A LINGERING SORROW CONTINUES TO STING LIKE LOCUST IN MY SOUL. EACH BITE LEAVING A HOLE, I'M UN-WHOLE, OUT OF CONTROL....BELOW...WHERE I BELONG....MY PAIN-BODY SINGS THIS WINTER SONG...ALONE AMONGST MANY, CALM WITH SHOULDERS HEAVY...EYES DEEP LIKE DEATH....EACH BLINK A LAST BREATH...

Wow this is a deep write. I can feel the strain, pain, and agony. Completely broken soul waiting to die. I too like using the ... in my poetry. It is like lingering thought into each physical action the body , heart and soul is going through. Thank you and Happy NEw Year.

thank u 4 the feedback....happy holidays

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
