    Look On Here

    I like your piercing stare
    And your woven hair
    Your innocent smile
Makes me walk that untrodded mile

I will reminiscence that first look
    You playfully took
It was so pure and true
    That I realized something new

    That words unspoken
    Can forge bonds unbroken
And the rhythm of our beats
    Do in concord meet

    I go on and gaze
    To dream of days
    When love and laughter
Will be ours for ever and after

Cause the brimming affection in your eyes
    Cannot disguise
    The feelings of care
    Which you want to share

    So please don't shy away
    But come by my way
    And seal this timeless promise
    With your tender kiss

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
