Starlight
I tread my days through solitude
In search of a divine fortitude
To fill that void that which you had left
When from your side I was bereft
On lonely nights I awake and converse
With this vast and enigmatic universe
To ask where light years away
You reside in some astral sway
The mild and comforting light of stars
Soothes me in my poignant hours
And among the constellations I trace
The radiance of your beaming face
I reminiscence that brilliant sparkle of your eyes
To feel the touch of love’s tender ties
As my mind travels through this infinite space
To lose itself in your embrace
Immersed in your enchanted dreams
I travel through the stellar streams
Towards the holy beacon of my flight
Following your ever shining star light
In search of a divine fortitude
To fill that void that which you had left
When from your side I was bereft
On lonely nights I awake and converse
With this vast and enigmatic universe
To ask where light years away
You reside in some astral sway
The mild and comforting light of stars
Soothes me in my poignant hours
And among the constellations I trace
The radiance of your beaming face
I reminiscence that brilliant sparkle of your eyes
To feel the touch of love’s tender ties
As my mind travels through this infinite space
To lose itself in your embrace
Immersed in your enchanted dreams
I travel through the stellar streams
Towards the holy beacon of my flight
Following your ever shining star light
