    lost soul

     I am just a lost soul
    Searching for salvation
    What's my destination
    From this place

    Will my intentions
    End this desolation
    See the tears of isolation
    Stream down my face

    And the pain that drags me under
    Makes me wander
    Will I ever rise above 
    This fevered plane

    In the midst it haunts me
    Will someone ever want me
    For the beauty
    That lies deep within my soul

    And now, I'm so alone
    And no, don't wanna go home
    Cuz what would I do
    With the solitude
    What would I do
    With solitude

    I walk the streets of darkness
    And through the sounds of silence
    Will I hear the voice of one
    Who really cares

    Guess I'm reaching out to nothing
    Cuz there's no one there to warm me
    When the nights are cold and lonely
    And I'm so scared

    I am just a lost soul
    Searching for salvation

    What's my destination

    From this place

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
