    Lost Souls

    Lost Souls..
    They walk the streets lost;
    like the clutter in the gutter.

    Souls lost in turmoil and strife;
    shells looking for souls.

    Wandering for handouts;
    eyes sunken like holes.

    A girl selling a piece of hers;
    it could be any one of us.

    A sign says' "will work for food";
    survival is not guaranteed.

    Tormented souls of the Boulevard;
    lost souls of the nite..

    Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

    Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
