    Love Land Lord

The thought of you makes me cry
    Without you I could die
Your kisses are never the same
    Your touch is never plain
Caught in a house of which you own
I was born into but now I’ve grown
Waiting on you to show me the full extent
But you said “wait” because of my rent
    Wasn’t paid
    And now I’m stayed
In a house were you weren’t
Thrown away like toast that’s burnt
Unwanted by no other but you
In your house my color was rarely blue
Diamond love that’s hard to break
Under ground I have to find you for my sake
Without you my world would quake
    Shattering my heart into
    Billions of peaces that blew
Off the edge of the world
As it spins so fast it makes me want to hurl
Around and around I spin without two
    Cents to pay you
But now I love myself so I have my rent,
To give you that was sent
By my mind once excepted of myself
Now please bless me with your wealth
    By providing my haven
    That I stay in
    To continue my sane
And I know that there’s no one else to blame
That I didn’t have the rent whose wealth
That pays you by loving myself
Love you are my land lord
    And the board
Of your home keeps me safe

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
