    Love You

I know I don’t tell you nearly enough,
How much you mean to me.
There were many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I am loved.
You are patient when I’m foolish.
    I love you more than I can express;
    You have my total respect.
I’m thankful for all you showed me
About how to love and give –
    Lessons that now bring
    So many blessings to me
    each and every day.
    Your sacrifices and unselfishness
    Did not go unnoticed.
You have always asked for so little,
    and yet, given so much.
    Patient and understanding,
    in each and every way.
I know that I do love you more,
    with every passing day.
I admire you, I respect you,
    I love you.

For you I am so thankful,
    To our Father up above.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
