    Margret

A sterling light trapped in the night,
Dark forces laid by man, crossed
through a lineage, she can't diminish,
the time through grains of sand,

A bewildered soul, a siren of light, sent
forth by thy maker's hand, afraid to sparkle,
refuses to shine, of thy womb six sire's were
left behind on the times through grains of sand,

She mourns lives lost within deep down, afraid to
scream or utter a sound, that if indulged, thy might
divulge and be lost in the sands of time,

Yet in spite of all, she's lived this life to the fullest in her
mind, riding on the wings of faith, no pains of those lost times,
While all she lost like grains of sand, she could never leave behind.

I like the 'beat' to the piece... good work, keep writing!

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
