Melting Snow
Oh how we long for spring for the ground to be clear from the Snow.
To see the grass again, to let my hair blow in the wind.
To see the bright colors in the sky many silk woven kites glide high.
Holding on to a single piece of twin, that stays tightly around a small
Wrist that is earthly bound. Earthly bound only for a short while.
As God smiles down I see angels standing tall and proud.
In the dirty melting snow. I see thrown away old half smoked cigarettes
Hypodermic needles stained with blood, old pop cans, missing wigs and weaves.
I see used condoms.
Guess what I found Dads lost car keys.
In the melting Snow.
We helped mom to sow the seeds.
So our garden would grow.
The places where flower are in bloom.
Their smells take over .It smells like spring.
Has sprung to a new day.
As the snow melts away.
I must brush the green grasses hair to grow.
To sweep away the flit
That fell. On top the top
Of the black top.
Creating such a mess,
I really did not notice until after the melting snow.
How dirty we are and how less we care.
I found that messing pair
Of ear rings one cell phone and a broken chain.
That was a piece of me, or what I used to be.
Before the melting of the snow.
Now I sit back and hope
The birds will sing, and visit me again.
Awake! To a new spring.
The car started today! The car started today!
As I racked up last fall’s leaves. I comb mother earth’s hair today.
I felt the sun go into my skin. I felt lighter and freer.
At peace in Harmony
With the Father. In spite of, I say in spite of.
What is going on?
All around me.
What would you see?
If you looked deeper
Into your own melting snow?
