Memories of 9-11
a mans last words from his wife
are of her last moments in flight
a couples last moments on earth
jumped together with hands clasped firm
a friend gets a call from two on the 101st
then watches on TV the terrible burst
doctors, fireman, and civilians alike
all heroes fighting to save a life
calls came in from down below
workers trying hard but the going was slow
we're alive under all this rubble
please get us out, some are in real trouble
dump trucks lined up and down the streets
working hard to clear all the debris
thousands of innocents have slowly died
no longer a part of everyday life
September 11th-declared "An Act of War"
Our freedom attacked on our own shore
what's wrong with this world
can't we just live in peace
i know we're all different
but Live and Let Live, at the very least
are of her last moments in flight
a couples last moments on earth
jumped together with hands clasped firm
a friend gets a call from two on the 101st
then watches on TV the terrible burst
doctors, fireman, and civilians alike
all heroes fighting to save a life
calls came in from down below
workers trying hard but the going was slow
we're alive under all this rubble
please get us out, some are in real trouble
dump trucks lined up and down the streets
working hard to clear all the debris
thousands of innocents have slowly died
no longer a part of everyday life
September 11th-declared "An Act of War"
Our freedom attacked on our own shore
what's wrong with this world
can't we just live in peace
i know we're all different
but Live and Let Live, at the very least
