Moonlit Ride
It's a moonlit night,The stars are bright.
He starts to drink,
He starts to fight.
The more tension grows,
The more beer flows.
I'm in the car,
He's gone too far.
Too many sips.
Too many hits.
I've had enough.
I throw a fit.
He curses and swerves,
He's got such a nerve.
He hits a tree,
We start to bleed.
I watch the blood pour from his head,
I pray to the heavens
But i know that hes dead.
I cry a stream of salty tears,
An ambulance comes
To wash away my worst fear.
That night in the car,
The beer the scars.
The scars will fade as I move on with my life.
But the memories will last...
But through out it all,
I'll never look back.
