Moving On

I walk, hoping for luck
I see his face
Hoping maybe he will like me
and I could learn to do the same
Help me to let go
These chains on my arms
hurt too much
I am crying to let go of this
"Rush"
Holding myself together
not letting a piece fall
Getting out of my shell
For everyone to see me
"Undone"
Waking up going to try
to forget his face and
the memories we shared
and see if this guy can
learn to care
Hoping that this can help me
Show the real me
I am getting closer now
He starts to wave but
memories of Paul starts to get in the way
I walk away
Dying from this pain
Going the wrong way
Hoping one day I can wave back
and flirt and say
"Will you go out with ME"
But I see nothing but Paul's face
But I think I will be ready,
Maybe in the morning
Learning Paul's
Ways
and this time I will wave
but in the morning
I will speak the words softly

P.S. It's my turn to talk in the dark

i think this is like the story of every teens life we never talk to those that we really want to you know. i like it its a strange rhythm but it flows and its cool cause its different

How many times I have wanted to talk to a gal and never did.. let love go by me... I joke because in family one male has never married per generation and in this one it me.... but I look at others and wonder what might have been if had just took time to talk to somebody once.. a long time ago... poem is well done brings up things in my old mind often forget until find something to wake them like poetry...

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
