    Poem Commentary

My first poem ever. I write about my dear love.
Death is a horrible things when you have to let go.
I truly can say my head hangs low.

    My Head Hangs Low

    My head hangs low
I watch you as you sadly go
    My sorrow and heart aches
    My head hangs low

    You were my true love
When I met you thrity three years ago
    My head hangs low
I hold your hand so small and petite
With your frail body lying there still with pain

    My head hangs low
I love you so much words can never show
Your my soul mate, my friend and now I must let you go
I kiss your cheek gently and pat your face

    My head hangs low
It is time to say good-bye
Tears flow down my cheek as I watch your spirit settle down
I feel a breeze flow by me as your soul leaves your body
    My head hangs low

I stand sadly at your grave side
    My head hangs low
I pick up a flower and gently let go
It falls on the dirt below
I relaize it is time to let go
    My head hangs low

It has been a year since you left me here below
I believe one day I will see you again
Please look for me as I will be there
until we meet again forever to be happy
    My head hangs low

    Good bye my dearest freind
may we meet again someday soon
    My head hangs low

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
