Daylight breaks through the panes and glistens on the wall
Playful rainbows of color flicker and I lay here and recall.
Thanking God for the morning and the night through which I slept
The blessings each day brings and the cunning woes behind them crept.
We have to take the bad with good. Each plays off the other best
Truly appreciate the shining sun after rain and wind create a mess.
It’s the same in life when crisis comes we sit around and complain.
Instead of saying the flowers and trees need nourishment from the rain.
Pain and strife build character and strengthen us from within
The things we overcome to live another day encourage both foe and friend.
Each word, each touch, each deed is looked on by eyes nearby
Perceived in different ways, it depends on the persons need and why.
Your pain and grief could be lessons or simply a test of faith.
Are you a tool that God uses when someone’s trust and beliefs sometimes waif?
Our trials and crosses we bare, simply put, we are all sinners the same.
Do how we handle the burden of sin, show others to call on His Holy Name?
He see’s the pain we go through and compromise we live in day to day.
Just remember that He is beside us through storms and always provides us a way.
The path you choose is before you. You can take the one broad and wide.
But remember there is a lot of room to stray if you aren’t walking close at his side.
I am no more that God will allow and I must allow Him to use me at will.
What others can gain from the life I have lived I will not count as nil.
Daylight sneaks under the clouds in the sky to bring darkness each night I have left
Each morning I will rise and regardless the skies see the sun dance in my heart, that’s my gift.
