new start

As a baby is born it is given a clean slate
So shall i be with this new name
i am happy to not be noticed

The best part is being able to let my guard down
slip past your fingers
free of the past
free to be m again
I can do all this with just a new name

So i shall slip under the radar
find my new legs and live this new life

I do this because of you
you messed up
you hurt me to where i didnt want to exist
knowing you could find me
at the click of a button

So i shall be able to live anew
with a renewed passion
a new fire to my soul

I am my own secretkeeper....

I agree with brokenhearted. Keep writing, singing. I'll keep reading your work.

i like it, though short and sweet, the access to a newfound alibi is highly satisfactory. being someone new has always been a great idea of humans, because it gives you what you hadnt before: freedom. keep writing!!!

We may at times invite trajedy or contribute to our own problems by default. (guilty) I hope this person you're needing a rest from is not me, lol! I hope this beginning is very good for you and poetry has its way with your heart (good poetry, that is). A great declaration of newfound freedom in this cyberworld! Applause building!

Even on the Internet, behind the shield of pseudonyms--actual anonymity--we can be hurt. Even though our names are not usually out front on the Internet, our hearts often are. You capture and express this truth well. 10 from me. --Michael LP, Mr. Poet

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
