    Not like you

     I look back on these moments and i can tell you that I don't really like them. I'm always the one taking your crap while you go into darkness. You drink so much that you sometimes never remember they day before. Everytime we hang out you end up drinking and me cleaning up your mess. I end up having to care you to bed and cleaning while you sleep.  My favorite part is the morning where you wake up with a headache and can't keep anything down. That is what you get for making me go through that the night before. Next time I won't be so nice, that is when you start using vulgar language. You go ahead because it's not harming me, you're harming yourself. What I'll get out of this is that I will NEVER be like you and I will be the better person who does something right for once. When I'm older and I look back on my past and these days together, I will smile because i didn't turn out like you or anyone else in the messed up family.

    good for you. It is so strange to me when a person sees the ills and the evils of their environment...recognizes the wrong...and then falls right into them themselves. I am glad you are determined to break the cycle :)

    Thank you very much. I have some very special people in my life that keep my in check and make sure I'm doing what anyone else is doing.
