    Nothing Yet Everything

Sometimes there can be a Nothing
Not always is there a You
Not always is there an I
    Sometimes there is Nothing
    When you notice the Nothing
    You Notice the Everything
    I am the Nothing
The dead wood of the tree long forgotten
I am the silence that sits still in the night
I am the Nothing that has become Everything
The light that warms your heart
The whispers of love you hear in your silence
I am the Everything that sometimes is mistaken for Nothing

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
