    Ode to Spring

     The wintery nights are drawing to end,
    And Spring is at the doorstep at hand,
    The clouds are moving swiftly away,
    The hot days are coming, the swallows at bay.

    The snow is melting from mountains high,
    The rivers are forming, delight to the eye.
    And life is starting all over again,
    A shower to help all from the blessed rain.

    The swallows are moving and dancing above,
    And so are the robin, the thrush and the dove.
    The sheep are bringing to light the lambs,
    The kids are preparing to take their exams.

    Chiming can be heard from every church bell,
    Our Lord and Master had saved us from hell.
    Come on everybody, start a feast in town,
    To celebrate Easter, to Jesus the crown !
