    On My Watch

I know a man, a King to me who took me in when I was weak.
The world you see had beaten me down,
my hopes and dreams ran swiftly
to dry ground and nothing good would grow.
But this man, a King to me lifted me from
the ground with three words you see,
He said by His acts "Come follow me."
Act 1 was when He taught in Truth.
Act 11 The Healing of them and you.
Act 111 The Victory as June has said,
No death, no finish for His Blood has been shed, Once
for all who heed His Call.
Thanks again to this man, my King,
you saved a Soul with that birth in Spring as I sprang up from the
Waters of Change.I even heard Them as They sang of another Victory
as I swam on my back, eyes marvelling at the New Light.
As Humbly as I can I must tell you who I am,
a Warrior with Blue Sabre at side.
Mercy I show not to shadows and their lot.
"To the pits!" is what the Great Azriel say's.

Don't ask me why...but...this somehow reminds me of the poem Footprints....the same feeling of protection and having one's back is front and center..nice....Cher

wow this read to me talks to me and speaks of salvation thru the King. My soul stood up and took notice as I read this story of old........

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
