Our God

Our God

Such pain and emptiness consumes
The lives around me
Stolen vessels, guarded tombs
A dark cold memory
Candles without flames
Burnt by our society
Everyone points, everyone blames
No one sets them free
Shifting through life unknown
Until one day we are seen
Taken to his throne
Our sins washed clean
Protected by an infinite love
Our God, our answer above.

Sentimental and nice. I would love to sit down and talk with you about this subject.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
