Our Talks

I enjoy our talks, The emotional walks

Our conversation takes, Frequently, my day it makes

It allows me to be a part, Which truly touches my heart

Amazing to witness the growth & see how smart

You're really becoming, Your beauty is stunning

Definitely in the running, For something special coming

There's no limit to what you can do, The world's open for you

Remember that with all you do

I'm always going to be on your side, That will never be denied

Know that my best I've always tried

And it'll always be, What you can expect from me

I may sometimes fall short of the mark, But trust I'll do a large part

The best I can do, Will always be what I'll have for you

I've fallen short & failed tests, But know I did my best

At that place & time, Never committed any crime

But made choices as if I were blind, That was all I could find

Hindsight's 20/20, With wisdom a plenty, But in the moment - not any

Glad we can have our talks, Through our journeys & walks
