    Painful Memories

I see the light, I see the day
    I was small, I couldn't say
The pain I felt was turned away

I was told I could not tell,
It took years and alot of hell
The pain was there, but I didn't tell

I'm learning to feel, and learning to see
I was just a child, and now I'm free
To show the pain inside of me

I read "Painful Memories" and find it says much. I hope that you find that poetry becomes not only a way to express your inner feelings but also can be evocative and descriptive of life experiences. I hope to read more of your poetry later.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
