Biography

I grew up in Dallas, got BA in English and Philosophy and MA in City and Regional Planning at UT Austin. Fled to San Francisco to escape Texas heat, both physical and social. Three careers followed: worked in city planning 25 years, quit, back to school, studied fashion design. Owned a western wear design shop and taught at Fashion Institute in S.F. four years, back to TX of necessity, tutored writing at a local college 6 years. Now live in Dallas 6 mos. of the year, mountains above Taos NM 6 mos. Have published both prize-winning poetry and short stories. Now looking for a job as a poet.
