Purgatory
Lasting spells of voices linger.
On wings of freedom, lies foreplay.
Into skies of life’s new playground.
Seeking emotional silence... calls.
Cages, locks, and bars are rusted.
Suspend my essence turmoil’s void.
Chained to love that coils this chasm
Rocks below for bloods last touch.
Above the darkness rings in echoes.
Eternity spans the pale gray light.
Locked up tight this hell to pay.
Alone in purgatory, cold fire to rage.
Where is love? This old song sung?
Empty swaying to the winds undone.
Whispering laughter screams distant.
Obsession a scar that festers lonely.
Wounds not healing sickened waste.
Sweet lavish memory… a killing embrace.
Wasting away the mist drifts past.
Panning lost, tear stained eyes.
Dirt drips off this face in fear.
Disgrace pines twisted emotion lost.
Hate circles spiral down, mocking.
Violence builds monuments obscure.
Insanity’s vacuum makes love to the night.
Taking, stealing the taste of life.
Dreams of scorpion stings to the heart.
Poisoning wrath of heartbreaks call.
