    Saddened Hearts

He willingly went,  even though he was told --
I tried to stop him, but he had to be bold!
The world that he lived in, the friends he had made --
Few that were good, but most of them bad.
Whether he led, or whether he followed,
Story be told, he left an empty hollow!
    His family sad,
But they knew quite well, that they had forewarned him,
    Before he went to HEll.
His children without him, will be raised well.
Yet the hurt that he left them, will never quite heal.
For the drugs were there, his HEART and SOUL to steal!

Thank you, I guess that it is something that hits all of us one time or another.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
