    SORROW

    The "sorry" sentiment, cannot explain
how my heart hurts, at what I have attained,
    disrespect, distrust, disbelief and disdain!

In my hour of sorrow ,
belief that there is always tomorrow,
    I moved day to day,
    thinking I handled things OK.

I lost her a year ago,
I did not mean to disrespect her memory, so!
My mother was my buddy, my friend,
I will love her till the end.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
