    Safe

Trying to smile past the tears that choke me up
Trying to get past it all,
    Stumbling in the dark
when to my blurry eyes a light shines through,
    There you are standing
    light switch flipped,
Walking towards me with open arms,
Promising to never allow the darkness to take over again
and when I look into your eyes I know it's true
    Again the tears fall,
yet now for the happiness you've instilled in me,
I pull you closer to me wanting to forever feel this close
to always feel the warmth and love which pours through your soul,
Knowing as long as I have you I am safe,
Safe from the darkness that threatens to destroy
Never a sad tear to fall from my eyes
Only knowing of the light you shine on me,
of the love you constantly place upon me
    Never to fear the unknown,
for as long as we're walking hand in hand
    Nothing can harm me
    Sadness can't touch me!

dont forget im a great cook. very beautiful poem

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
